XIMR has embarked on its next stage of growth with a strategic focus on Emerging Markets. In keeping with this strategy, we have launched the Centre for Africa Studies (CAS), in association with the Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Uganda, the most respected Business School in East Africa, in January 2011.
This Centre will provide our students with an opportunity to understand the cultures and practices of Africa through immersion studies, as well as lectures by African Professors resident at XIMR. CAS will become a Centre of Excellence, developing an expert body of knowledge, and act a bridge between the cultures and businesses of India and Africa, thereby contributing to the social and economic progress of both. CAS also furthers India’s foreign policy objectives in Africa.
